And just like that I have a new roof.

Seriously.

The Office Manager(?), Katya, called yesterday to say the crew was coming today. They arrived a little before 8:00, set up, and were pounding away by 8:05. And when I got home tonight I had a lovely new roof.

There's a small pallet of materials, but otherwise they cleaned up so you'd never know a work crew was here all day. They even put my flamingos back.

It was one of my late nights so I got home at dusk. Even in the gathering dark it looked spiffy. I'll get pics from all angles for the insurance co tomorrow.

Finding a painter is still an issue. But at least I can contact the porch guy tomorrow, sign a contract, and get on his schedule.

I don't have to-do list for the weekend. I have sewing -- I screwed up something cuttinng thpueces for the paj top -- and I need to clean. Mostly I'm going to chill.

And enjoy life under my new roof.
