I’m clumsy even in my dreams

czarinamisha

Yesterday was July 4th ( which I just realized you know because even if you’re not reading this today (my today; whatever day you read it is your today) the posts are dated.

So starting over. I woke up exhausted yesterday. I slept even hours, even subtracting getting up a record-breaking four times to pee. Based on the extra deep super dark circles under my eyes you’d think I slept no more than an hour.

The worst part was how I woke. In the dream I was loading up misc stuff to go back to the library. We’d done some field work out in, well, a field. Technically a park. I had a bunch of stuff balanced on my left forearm and then my big binder (2” in real life, 6-7” in this dream) balanced on my right forearm.

This is physically impossible starting with how did I pick up and position the binder with my left arm full up to how could I balance what had to be over ten pounds on one forearm. Turns out it was impossible even in a dream. I did a totally cartoony fall backward onto the grass. Just a straight fall back from vertical to horizontal. (I wish!)

And I woke with a terrible charley horse in my left calf.

No crazy ass dreams that I remember today. Just up at 7am even tho it’s a holiday (observed) and out weeding for an hour and a half. Bindweed and virginia creeper and poison ivy. (I’m not allergic to one of those.) So the rest of today is antihistamines and whatever mindless I can stream.

Happy Independence Day (observed)!
