Sunday chores

me: Focus now. We have a lot to do today.

brain: <quietly singing “Hey Big Spender” for absolutely no reason>

me: I’m serious. We’re moving the living room furniture to Christmas mode. And then we have the usual Sunday chores. Laundry. Green beans. Spring rolls.”

brain: biscuits

me: What?! No.

brain: you said biscuits with green beans and leftover chicken

me: That was before I realized we have 2 1/3 bags of pretzel buns. That’s 8 rolls. We only need 3 for lunches. We don’t need biscuits.

me: And we don’t have enough butter for scones, so don’t even. No side quests! We can take breaks between tasks.

brain: yay! break!

So I have started laundry. Now I’m eating a biscuit while on a break.
