I'm fine. Well, I'm alive and mostly comfortable and home bonding with my demon (cat Torii to anyone new to this blog).

The totally normal routine gallbladder surgery was approved by my insurance company. It was just a secret I guess. I called the surgeon's office since I hadn't heard anything since last week's denial letter from the insurance company. I talked to the scheduler who assured me it was approved and she had the paperwork to prove it.

I'm home on sick leave until the surgery (two weeks from today). Boss's call. I suggested working from home since the constant up and down at the desk left me feeling like I was the snitch in a prison movie, the one who gets shanked in the kidney. Boss freaked at the idea. Lots of comments like she needs me at the desk. The next day she clarified that of course I could use sick leave seeing as how I have a few months banked.

I don't know what that nonsense was about. I'm done trying to guess why people do what they do. Trying to find just a little logic however skewed in their actions. It's not my place to guess what's going on in their heads. Hopefully they're self-aware and honest enough to know. But I'm out.

I'm bored, but my activities are limited. The same bending stooping up down up down that jostled my gallstones at work is just as much of a problem at home. So I can't work on the craft room or start prepping for spring planting.

Today my digestive system was pretty much anti everything. No food suited. Only certain positions didn't feel like my intestines were trying to form a noose. Just grand.

And since that's really all I expect I'll have to talk about for the next two weeks -- my GI symptoms/issues -- I don't expect to post much until after 3/23 (surgery date).

So take care while I'm gone. See you soon.
