The long long looooong route this package is taking. The point where it leaves Kentucky (where I live) to head to Alabama (far south of me) certainly stands out. Altho props to the driver; the carrier left Louisville at 8:39 AM and arrived in Montgomery at 3:11 PM. They made really good time. They clearly avoided all traffic around Nashville and I want to know their secret, especially since they should have hit town smack in the middle of lunchtime.
Of course, one has to ask why they drove SSW instead of ESE from Louisville. On, I assume, I65 instead of I64. In the direction of my home.
To me the bigger question is: why did the package go through Louisville at all? It's straight down I75 from Cincinnati to either my house directly or to the Lexington distribution centers for Amazon, UPS, USPS, or FedEx (whichever delivery service is doing this). Lexington is way closer to me than Louisville, so that little jaunt west already an unnecessary side trip.
So if a package of assorted blank canvases that you didn't order turns up on your doorstep, please contact me. It's part of my niece's Christmas present. I wish I could limit this call out to just Kentucky, or Alabama, or the route between them, or even the entire southern US, but you know I really don't think I should. Those poor canvases could be headed for a weekend in Vegas or an international flight out of New York or a scenic tour of the Al-Can highway. So no questions asked. If you see my package, please nudge it home.
