No more signs of the mice, but no little mice corpses in the traps. Mr brother, SIL, and niece moved the old couch to the curb without too much trouble. It took less than ten minutes. I had turned up the heat because my mom was coming, too, but didn’t feel well. And the furnace did the thing like a few weeks ago where it just runs and runs and runs and won’t stop but it’s just blowing air not actually heating. which wasn’t as big a deal today because it was quite pleasant up in the 60s, but it’s dropping down to freezing again overnight, so I called the heating & cooling company again which I debated because it’s Sunday and that makes it an emergency visit which is waaay expensive but I didn’t want to wake up to 48F in my house tomorrow and I really need a good night’s sleep tonight, and I worried the mice nibbled some wires or whatever to mess up the furnace and the guy couldn’t find any of my records so I worried I somehow called the wrong company and I’ve compared the number I found online with what I’ve called in the past and anyway the van was the right logo. And the guy didn’t say anything about dead mice inside the furnace. And I’m going to have to call the exterminator if I don’t find dead mice in the morning because I’m sure they haven’t just moved out, Torii not that much of a threat (don’t tell her I said that). And did I mention I dropped a table on my foot, I think it was Wednesday morning? I did but I miraculously did not break anything. I assume. I didn’t get x-rays. I can stand and walk with no problems, no pain. It just feels really really really bruised and today it suddenly looks bruised, too, tho not as bad as it feels if I just lightly touch it. And I have had the worse sinus headache since I woke up.
I forgot about my Lent thing of finding the day’s positive before I fall asleep. Understandable, but I need that focus on the good tonight. So . . .
Obviously the big positive today is Joe, Jamie, and Elizabeth coming here and moving the couch out. Belatedly I would also like to include my unbroken foot. And even my wee mouse catching demon.
Laundry is done. Well, not put away, but washed, dried, and up from the basement. I roasted veggies for the week’s lunches. My headache is bad, but I’ve had worse. And that blue is rather pretty.
